Christmas Cookie Helpers

One of my favorite things about the holidays is making christmas cookies. Every year I have done cut-outs with the kids. Cut-outs with all the pretty frosting and decorations has always been one of my favorites. Before kids I made pretty intricate snowflakes with light blue royal icing and white borders and decor, topped with glittered candy dust and candy pearls. Now that the kids want to help the appearance of the cookies has drastically changed.. They now consist of plain old colored frosting and a dumping of red or green sprinkles. It was actually a very stressful process for me this year. I think I almost was ready to throw flour at them!!!. Maybe next year I will make the cutouts while the kids are sleeping at night...
